Thought For Today, Vision

Hey, guys.

Cherie here with a thought for today. 🙂

Did you know

The man you desire your husband to be is coming directly from the Lord. He has called you to be your husband’s helpmate. It’s so hard to accomplish this without a vision of “who” he is through God’s sight to work towards. The enemy is quick to use your vulnerable moments to deceive you into believing his lies against you and your husband. But God’s vision still stands! Understand that God wants to use you in your husband’s spiritual growth and his overall life.

Not to control him

But rather to work with God concerning him. If you don’t have God’s vision/desire for your husband, ask Him for this. Seek God on your husband’s behalf. Write down the vision He gives you – even where you lack faith- and read it daily. Surrender your emotions and will to God and look to see where He is working in your husband and join Him there. Refuse the lies and be the wife/help-mate God has designed you to be.

We all need support

The following verses are designed to support you as you are learning how to fight through whatever you’re facing today. Can I encourage you to work towards making God’s word the Authority in your life? If it’s not, now is the time to change this! I’ve also included the principles God has taught me through each verse shared. I pray they minister to you in some way.

Genesis 2:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

God has already given the skills to be the best and most compatible help-mate for your husband. If you are comparing yourself to someone else -stop doing that now. Trust God and remove any hindrances that are holding you back.

Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Even when the husband is less than what we want or hope for. God’s word doesn’t change even when our situations do. He always stays the same!

1 Corinthians 11:8-9 For man was not made from woman, but woman from man.

Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. (Yes! You were created for your husband, among other things. You were created for him just like I was created for Bill. Again, our circumstances don’t change God’s word. His word should always be our Authority. God never contradicts Himself, no matter how hard you try to say that He has.

John 10:10-29 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Surrendering the past might be what you need to do now. If you find yourself filtering your husband’s past into the good things he’s doing today, you have a problem with letting go of the past. Has God done something new in your marriage? Are you using your husband’s past to condemn the good things that are happening today instead of receiving the changes for what they are?

This is how the enemy works. He lies to you, prompts your past emotions with fear of the past, and uses those emotions to deceive you into believing your husband hasn’t truly made any changes…and the “What if’s” start to overwhelm you. This is what I’m talking about. Satan is looking to see what he can steal from you, and your past (and your husband’s) is his weapon of choice. Declare today that no weapon formed against you or your husband will prosper!

Thank you for letting me speak into your life today. The Imperfect Wives and Fighting For Your Marriage are something I do with great passion because I want to see God’s Daughters rise up in the midst of the storm and stand FIRM for their husband and family. If you are reading this, please know I’m fighting for you and your marriage.

Faithfully,
