without letting go of where we are! {Part 1}

“Do you have sin/sins yet to be dealt with?”

God asked me this question while on my trip to NC this past weekend.

Not dealing with SIN will keep us right where we are, not allowing us to enter in to the next level.

I can kid myself by sweeping everything under the rug or even think that I am perfect in many ways. It’s so much easier to do this…so why not, right?

God will let me…

He has let me… but not for long.

He has called us to a place with Him that requires something from us; the freedom to cultivate Righteousness within us!

Righteousness: acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin.

If I’m going to act in accord with God then I have to walk through the hard stuff.

I grumbled and resisted for about 30 seconds going in { I know this doesn’t sound long but you try grumbling with God for 30 seconds and you will see once out, it feels like eternity just took place.}

I  looked into the depths of my soul {I somehow feel like I can hide my sin from me and God} and took inventory. There has to be sin in there or God would not waste His time asking me to look.

I made note of every area that God brought to light and had a honest conversation with Him.  Just telling you about it is making me shake from the experience. My emotions are reliving everything..

I won’t reveal here today the things I found. I’m not sure they would help you to know what they are right now. Instead, I encourage you to answer the questions yourself and be honest with God.

We fuss and complain and grieve the Holy Spirit because our husbands are not changing fast enough or our situations are not moving quite to our liking {So I just gave you one}!

Like me, you’re probably not going to like what you find. {If what you find doesn’t bother you, please let us know so we can join you in prayer over this. We don’t want you to stay where you are either!!}

God has a way of bringing to the surface the issues He wants us to deal with.

Sometimes the rising of sin causes tears in our hearts, even in our flesh when being pulled out… I’m talking about Sin ROOTS that have not only seeded but grown for years.. This level of sin requires Courage (on our part), Strength and Power (God’s part) to pull them out!

Tear means:

1. to pull apart or in pieces by force, especially so as to leave ragged or irregular edges.
2. to pull or snatch violently; wrench away with force: to tear wrappings from a package; to tear a book from someone’s hands.
3. to distress greatly: anguish that tears the heart.

Tears are painful…. I know. My heart grieves for you knowing what you’re about to go through. But there are times this is needed. God gave me the courage to walk through each one and I know He will give you courage, too.  Acts 10:34

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:”

What Peter is saying is, what He does for me He will do for you!

I know you have a dream for your marriage. We have prayed for your dreams to come to fruition with you!

Are you willing to look at your sin? I mean really look?

You can do it…you can take this journey with God.

You will be better for it…Your marriage is so worth it.

You are not alone though…God is with you!

I love God’s names. The one that sticks
out to me the most right now is Yahweh Nissi!

Bible.org defines Yahweh Nissi:“The Lord is my Banner.” Meaning, God is our rallying point and our means of victory; the one who fights for His people.

I love this definition because Bill uses the words “rallying point” when things are going wrong and we need to regroup with God.

Let God be your rallying point. You may think He’s not fighting for you right now.

He is…

If we want to move forward we have to deal with what is keeping us back!

He loves us to much to leave us where we are! Amen!?

Praying for you,

Cherie
