For the wives who have straying husbands or husbands wanting a divorce: Instead of letting him make all the decisions about your marriage can I encourage you to stand up and fight. God would not have made you his help-mate if He didn’t call you to do this. Settling to do less is never a good idea!
Helping our husbands spiritually is something I feel we should never neglect, especially when they deserve it the least. You are who God made for your husband and He has equipped you to do this. You can do this!! Don’t settle for less than what God has for your marriage!
Love you guys!!

This is so tough for me today. My husband has finally responded to my initial complaint (request for divorce) filed in March (impulsive mistake on my part – major regrets).
Now I have choices to make. Yes, I want to continue to fight for my marriage and am standing for it – but I don't have the financial means to fight him and stall this going to court. So…I have spent a few days in fasting & prayer and decided that I can let this end, peacefully, and in the process go above and beyond what he expects in the divorce and show him love that way. Proving to him what I have said all along…I'm not out to get him or take advantage or Hurt him…and that I will do whatever I can to maintain trust and respect in our relationship.
I could use prayers. This is not a step I want and I just pray that God stomps it to the ground immediately so I don't have to make any more of these tough choices.
Hi Cherie!
It's been great having you with me at Faith Barista! Thanks for being there.
So glad I stopped by here today.
Talk about confidence! You've got it and so awesome you're sharing it with your words. Our marriages are worth fighting for!
Katie, have you told your husband how you feel about the divorce proceedings? Do you still have an open door with him to share your heart? Can I encourage you to take a stand and share your heart with him even if you don't? God will do the stalling for you. I'm excited to hear that about your fasting.. Wow, through your fasting you are breaking down the walls and strongholds that brought you to the place!!
I'm excited for you Katie because
Isaiah 58:6 says "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Breaking the yoke of sin is what you are doing through your fasting.. This is why my heart leaps for you! By your testimony this is what's happening! Your breaking up the fallow ground but remember to be patience with God. The Holy Spirit is moving on your behalf but give Him time to work. This one my sweet friend takes time..
I am praying with you.. Please continue to keep us up to date on what is going on!
Love you Katie,
Cherie
