Though battles and struggles wage war against us, realize this. satan only has the power to dictate to us how we feel or how our day will go when we let him. Knowing this can give us the Victory!! There is spiritual war that rages against us behind the scenes in our lives and marriages. Knowing and Understanding Gods Word gives us the Victory!!
We are not fighting the person or people who are coming against us, we are fighting satan. How do we fight against him? We fight him the same way Jesus did! With Gods Word!! We have to learn this before we can move on.. :o)

I have felt deep spiritual warfare a lot in my life. Currently the worst I've ever felt. And it is directly related to my marriage. Marriages purpose is ministry – and if our marriage is glorifying God in any way, Satan is going to attack us. He has attacked and is trying to destroy my marriage. But I have FAITH and HOPE that God will overcome this.
I have claimed these verses the last month for my husband and myself – praying them over us – asking God to keep his promises to us –
Song of Solomon 7:10 – "I belong to my lover, and his desire is for me."
Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
I was just reading over notes from a current Bible study at lunch. I read about that.
We need to realize that Satan can trap us when we don't know who we really are. We are children of God, we are SAINTS, not sinners. Praise God that He has washed away ALL my sin.

This is a great reminder, thanks for sharing. Our daily walk is filled with struggles as we get closer to God. Satan is always there to try and tell us something different, just like he did in the garden. Standing true to Gods word will always help us get through.

@Supermaslady~ I love SOS 7:10. Reading this verse cause my heart flutter as I think about Gods love for me (which I know is always true) and Bills love for me (which at times I felt his wasn't all the time). Ever been there.. I chose years ago to receive this scripture as truth no matter how Bill was treating me at the time. God is so faithful to us as we strive to become more like Him in our marriages..

@Sonya~ reading your comment reminds me of my cheering days. The cheer brought to my thoughts is "Stand, Fight, Win" This takes me back to my cheer-leading days in High School. We cheered these words to our Football players letting them know we join in with them in the fight to win the game. God does the same thing for us. He is cheering us to stand fight and win!!
