“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life…”  Philippians 2:14-16a (NIV)

If we take a good look at the night sky, we can see the breathtaking impact and beauty of millions of stars shining together.

Yesterday at chapel, a men’s quartet sang “This Little Light of Mine” and the Lord brought these verses from Philippians to my mind as I pondered letting my light shine.

It’s amazing to me that a simple song written for children can evoke such contemplative thoughts.

Today let’s choose to let the light of God’s Word shine through us in our marriages, our homes, and wherever we go.

After all, it is a choice.

Complain or remain silent.

Argue or make peace.

Sin or obey.

Will you join me so our lights can shine together?
