“Victory in Jesus! My Savior forever.
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood.
He loved me ‘ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him.
He plunged me to Victory beneath the cleansing flood.”
Do you ever feel beaten down? In life, in parenting, in your job?
In your marriage?
I do.
But, Hallelujah, our Savior does not want us to live that way!
God has been planting this idea of victory in my heart over the last month.
He has been setting this truth deeply in my heart and soul and I am praying it is beginning to take root.
This month I have had a whisper of victory, a battle-cry of victory, a waterfall of tears — yet the tears were shed with victory. Many manifestations but victory, nonetheless.
Ladies, I am learning to walk in victory — no matter what comes my way.
This is a difficult thing to do though, isn’t it?
Walking in victory when you experience injury, hurt and, even seemingly, defeat is hard.
But we are not left to our own devices to experience victory.
I love the hymn Victory in Jesus.
The chorus above is full of deep theological truth about God’s character.
Why can we walk in victory no matter the circumstances?
“He sought me and bought me, with His redeeming blood.”
How can we have victory, even when we stray from the Lord in sin?
“He loved me, ‘ere I knew Him.”
Even before we knew Him, HE LOVED US!
As we are imperfect wives, HE LOVES US! (Can you feel my excitement???)
As we go through hard times that seem to “drown us,” we can rise in victory.
“He plunged me to victory, beneath the cleansing flood.”
Sometimes the trials are meant for cleansing.
And even during that process we can have victory.
Think about where you are today as wives, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends.
Allow God to reveal to you the victory He has for you.
Walk in the sure hope of that victory we have in Christ Jesus.
The victory brings healing, cleansing and restoration.
As I sing the victory song, my heart realizes,
“and all my love is due Him.”
Victory is precious and it is f
ound only in Jesus.
ound only in Jesus.
Sweet, sweet Victory.
My prayers for each one of you and for myself is that we would be warrior princesses who walk in the victory that is ours as daughters of the King.
Walk with the King today and be a blessing, for the victory is YOURS.
