“Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings: he will not stand before unknown men.”
Proverbs 22:39
Do you see favor where your husband and his job is concerned?
If not, I want to encourage you to pray for your husband to excel in what he does at work. The Word says that when you see a man who excels at his work, he will stand before kings, not unknown men.
We know that when we work at our jobs as though we are working for God {and we are}, we have God’s favor.
~Favor opens doors that seem completely shut.
~Favor takes them further than they thought they could go.
~Favor puts our husbands in the presence of kings!
Kings have power to do and accomplish all things good for our husbands. They can open the door to opportunities that no man can close.
“Kings represent your husband’s boss and anyone else that can influence his career in the right directions!”
God can bring favor from the most unexpected places. Bill and I have experienced this in our career in the Navy. We should also pray that our husbands would bring God into every aspect of their work. The Bible says that God makes room for our gifts. When I think about this scripture, I think about the areas Bill is so good at and the things he loves to do. I ask God to make room for his gifts because when he enjoys his work, he will prosper in it. Focusing on these areas in our husbands’ lives will produce powerful results when we take the time to pray in this way.
Be encouraged! Allow God’s Word to penetrate your thinking as He moves in your heart to see your husband raised up as a righteous man. He will find great favor in his job, and most importantly with God!
So, let’s pray. It is our responsibility to pray for our husbands. There’s no time like the present to get started!
Praying for our couples,
Cherie
Cherie, I just loved this! Thank you for this awesome reminder. It’s something God has been speaking to me about & the scriptures are perfect as Charlie & I pray for guidance. Thanks!
Thank you, Barb! It’s a great reminder for many of us. I am still in the process of learning more and more about supporting Bill in his choices. He just made another one last night and God reminded me of this post. In stead of being nervous about what he is doing I supported him and stayed quiet. The answer will come in time and it will be Gods answer, not mine! It’s actually a really good feeling! <3
