one thought away

2013 is here and I am excited! A new year is rich with new blessings, new starts, new chances, and new beginnings. It’s a time for renewed hope and to make a fresh start. And it can all begin with One Thought!

Did you know that you are just one thought away from your calling?  Your one thought away from starting a ministry, making a million dollar, starting a new business en-devour.

Thought is powerful. How do I know this?

God thought creation into existence…..

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:1-10

Can you see the God’s thought process displayed throughout Geneses 1?

What are you praying for? If you were to ask me, I would tell you I have been seeking God for an idea. The economy is tough right now and I need to work from home so I can take care of our daughter, who needs full time care. I know God has designed me to do something that will not only bring an income into my home. It will help the body of Christ as well. I just couldn’t figure out what it is.

All great idea’s start with one thought…..

Have you been praying for this one thought, this one idea, and still spinning your wheels because it has yet to come? Ask God to be Lord over your thoughts and seek Him for the answer.

Still not convinced? One thought was the start to the home you live in, the laptop, iPad, or smart phone you are using to read this post. One thought was the beginning of great things that have come to pass.

The Proverbs 31 wife had a few thoughts. Her thoughts lead to meeting the needs of her household and provided for some of the needs of her community.  Proverbs 31 tells us,  “She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard. She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants.” (Proverbs 31:16,24 NKJV)

The wife Proverbs is describing is YOU.  Let me put this another way. What God did for her he is going to do for you.

What is God’s plan for you? Maybe you don’t know yet, but he surely does. Jeremiah 29:11 states “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I’m excited to share God has revealed to me the one thought.

The amazing thing about it is, this one thought encompasses everything God has designed me to do and is derived from all of my training and schooling. It is something I have been waiting to do and working towards but thought (some thoughts can be stumbling blocks) I had to wait.  I have since found out I don’t.

It took me a while to get here. I had a few thoughts that lead me down the wrong road.  It is a journey and one I have learned to embrace.  When you think about it, inventors have loads of prototypes behind them before they finally had the one thought that lead to their breakthrough invention. Though I was capable of running with each idea I knew in my spirit  I still didn’t have the right one.

I’m meeting with a friend today to start bringing this one thought to life.

So, what does 2013 have in store for you and your family?  The answer is near.  It’s just One Thought Away….. 🙂
