4-3-2014 8-24-00 AMI’ve gotten into the habit over the last couple months of walking in the early morning hours; up well before the sun on weekday mornings.  It’s quiet and peaceful, and when there is a full moon, not cloudy, and you can see all the stars in the sky, it’s really quite inspiring and a great opportunity to pray and seek the Lord.

Last Saturday, I woke up and got on my walking shoes to head out just as the daylight was starting to show itself.  We had a nice rain during the night.  As I was walking down the road, the moment struck me as alive, fresh, and new. Immediately, the Lord was talking to me and teaching me!

“His compassion never ends. It is only the Lord’s mercies that have kept us from complete destruction. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his loving-kindness begins afresh each day. 24 My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

Ladies, wives, mothers……..

Whatever trials and tribulations you are going through in your daily lives; please remember that our God is bigger than those adversities.   His tender mercies do not fail; there are instances of them every day!  Some of these are simple like the sunrise or maybe even the car starting.  Some a little more extraordinary like when your husband, who you were in a “knock-down drag-out” fight with the night before, gets the kids ready for school without prompting, or when the difficult co-worker actually asks your advice about a project.

“Why do we deserve these new mercies each day?”

Because we are Children of the Living God, who have been grafted into His holy family through the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ.  The love, grace, and mercy of God are yours for the taking; you only have to step out in Faith and Believe.   You have in this life, inherited an abundance of blessings and promises, Jesus made this possible through His death and resurrection.

Let’s take a moment to pray!

Romans 10:9 states: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”. If you haven’t made this decision to let Jesus be the Lord of your life, we invite you to do this by saying this simply prayer with us.

Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, I know I am not where I need to be, and ask for your forgiveness! I believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for my sins. Please cleanse me from all my sin, guilt and shame. Come into my life Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. I ask this all is your precious name Jesus.

Amen!
