Words of encouragement are so desperately needed in the life of a parent or child. Encouragement is a gift we can all receive; sadly we don’t all share it enough. Encouraging words have the ability to lift one’s life from the ashes. It’s beautiful how a life can be transformed through a simple encouraging word. May it be savored as a morning cup of coffee; slow to enjoy the moment and awakening to take the world by storm. Words are powerful to our lives, it’s what so vital to our life. We need to know we matter, someone cares, and we are loved.
So, on Father’s Day, I decided to declare to the world, I love Ryan Wetor. Maybe it’s not shouted upon the rooftop, but it’s shouting across the world on the internet.
Why do I love this man?
Besides being absolutely handsome, he loves making me laugh. No matter how bad a day I am having, he will try to make me smile. It’s his goal; he will not stop until I smile. His smile always lures me to kiss those beautiful lips. Yet, what I cherish the most, I have his heart. His heart was given to me on our engagement; his life upon our wedding. With dreams, hopes, and prayers we walked down the aisle as husband and wife. What would life bring us? Only our God would know the steps ahead, He was guiding them. Ryan I am grateful for your commitment to our marriage, our children, and to God. Your commitment has remained true; the promise we made upon our engagement. Our children don’t worry about their parents love, it’s present.
Maybe I am not as romantic as my husband, but I can’t find a better way to express it.
Ryan, besides loving you, I pray for you daily. Not a day passes that I don’t pray to God for you. With your hands, I pray for God to bless, anoint, and use for His good. With your words I pray for God to use to lift, empower, and hold our children’s heart. With your feet I pray God to protect your steps, guide to His will, and always lead to the cross. With your heart, I pray to be led by the Spirit, so you will lead us. Sometimes, I believe you doubt your ability to lead this family but I see your ability. A heart of worship is what drew my heart to yours, so keep it focused on God, it will never mislead. My darling husband if you only knew how much you mean to me, I pray my love brings your confidence. Father’s Day isn’t just another day; it’s a day I get to praise God for the gift He gave me. So, I praise God!
As your head hits the pillow tonight, may God bring you visions! Visions of what is coming for our lives, God’s not done. Be strong and courageous! Don’t be dismayed! God is for us, so who can be against us? God’s promise will be fulfilled in our lives; we are at the entrance to the Promise Land, so grateful to share it with you! Keep seeking the Lord with all your heart! Just remember I have my hiking boots on too!
Building strong marriages together,
Tina Wetor

Here are few verses to encourage you:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
