Living by Faith when God seems so far away can be hard. Listen to today’s podcast to learn how to live by faith and not by sight!
Do you struggle to live by faith when there are seasons that God feels so far away? Hi, this is Cherie Zack with the Imperfect Wives Ministry.
One of my favotire memories as a child is walking with my daddy. We were in a park in Pensacola, Florida and I had gotten excited and ran ahead of him. I turned around and realized that he was no longer next to me. I looked and I couldn’t find him. I had gotten so far ahead of him that I could no longer see him. In that moments I remember the fear I felt. And just as quickly as I lost him, my daddy found me. He had been there all along. Though I couldn’t see him, he was always close enough to see me.
2 Corinthians 5: 6-8. “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Living by faith is not doing what we want to do based on what we see.
Living by faith is trusting God with the unseen. To walk by faith, is to live in the confident expectation of things that are to come even when we can’t see them happening now. Though our vision is limited, God’s isn’t. He sees the bigger picture of our lives. He sees the moment He formed you, the first time your mother held you, the moment you had your first kiss, the moment you lost a parent, the moment your first child was born, and the moment you will take your last breath here on earth and He sees all of this at the same time.
Though our vision is limited God’s isn’t. We can trust Him and let Him lead our lives by faith knowing He is here with us every step of the way.
