The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”~Genesis 2:18
I know this has been used a million times… but just like all the rest of His words, it is still true!
God picks out a helper that is suitable for us.
I first met my husband on the phone. I was friends with his best friend so we talked on the phone and I fell in love with his voice (and him!) before I ever laid eyes on him.
Funny thing is, when I did meet him, I just showed up unannounced. He answered the door. I looked at him a little funny and asked if Shane was there.
Well…of course it was Shane that answered the door. I was so happy because he was a hottie! And he still is!
We faced many difficult situations before we got together, but that’s a story for another time. To us, those things are just proof that he and I were meant to be together!
When the bad times come in our marriage, because we all know they do, I remind myself of that day: how I just waited to talk to him on the phone to hear his deep voice, how I melted that first time I meet him and looked into his beautiful blue eyes.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—for your love is more delightful than wine. ~Song of Solomon 1:2
I love that God gave him to me! He chose Shane for me! To love, annoy, fight, cry, laugh and grow old together! He encourages me in his own little ways and I do the same for him.
And we always thank God for putting us together!
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 1:3-6

About Nicole:
I am a Princess!!! I am a daughter of the King!! I am the wife of a wonderful man who works hard to provide for our daughter and me.
Although I have always believed in God, I had a season of my life where I strayed away from Him. My cousin’s strong faith as her son fought cancer inspired me to get back into church and develop an intimate relationship with Jesus. I am still a work in progress.
Nicole serves The Imperfect Wives Ministry through prayer and working with the local club leaders.
