husband & wife.

Ah, that magical day that every little girl dreams of.

I remember thinking that planning a wedding must be akin to walking on clouds.

That all that was wrong with the world would instantly be fixed, because I was getting married.

Oh, to be so naive again!

As I walk down memory lane, entertaining the reality that was wedding planning. One word comes to mind.
STRESSED.
Charlie had just graduated college and was waiting for his commissioning and orders to his first Marine Corps school. I was working full time and made just enough.

But together, for a wedding, we were broke.

Our families helped the best that they could, but we were on our own for a good portion of it.

Or so I thought.

You see when God’s in your corner, you are never really “on your own.”

And we weren’t.

I wish I had the time to share with you all of the amazing things God did. Not just once, but many, many times.

At every.single.turn. God amazed us.

There was not a wedding detail that His hand did not touch.

Fast forward.

My beloved and I have now been married 3,306 days, give or take.

A thought occured to me recently, as I was reminiscing about our wedding and God’s abundant provision.

It was one day. That’s it. In the course of our married life, it was one day.

If God cared so much to provide flowers and tulle, how much more does he care to provide for our every need in our marriages.

Did you catch that?

Every need. He’s got it covered.

From finances to family to strife in the marriage. He’s got it covered.

Doesn’t that make you want to dance?!

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Cor 9:8

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.  Phil 4:19

What need(s) have you been petitioning the Lord for?  Take heart, He really does have it covered!

Praying that this week you will be abounding in every good work with the help of the Lord!

Blessings,

Barb
