How Can I Stop Un-forgiveness | Step 3

Step 3: Commit To Forgivenessweary woman

Jesus said “It Is Finished.”

-John 19:30

The enemy of your soul is going to tempt you to relive the pain from your past. His will promote every evil deed that has been done against you and every deed you have done to yourself. He is stealth in his movement and wants to thrive through your flesh. He can never take enough from you. He simply wants you to fail. But you don’t have to.

When Jesus said, “it is finished,” it truly is finished! Tuck this verse deep inside your heart and remind yourself as often as you need to that Jesus paid the price for ALL  sin on the cross. God wants you to walk in freedom. He gave his only begotten Son so you can be free.

Here is a prayer that is based on Scripture to help you live in a state of forgiveness:

Father, thank you for the forgiveness of my sins. You delight in giving grace and mercy and your compassion returns to me. You forgive and forget my sins to the depths of the seas. Lord, I ask that you would help me continue to forgive {_________} as many times as it takes. Father, you have said in your Word that if we will confess our sins you will forgive us and will purify us from all unrighteousness. Teach me to turn from my sins and go the way you have designed me to go. Refresh me Lord that I may begin again as a new creation.

Father, thank you for the redemption we have received through the blood you shed on the cross, according to your grace. For you have rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into your light. You have removed our sins from us as far as the east is to the west. Thank you, Lord.  In Jesus name, Amen!
