Today's Imperfect Minute

Hope Has Come

The advent season is here!

The hope that the Christ, the Messiah, the Promised One brings to human-kind is a tremendous gift of grace and mercy from our Heavenly Father.  Celebrate hope this Christmas — Jesus is our hope!

Jesus brings the hope of reconciliation with a holy God, the hope of eternal life with the Creator of the universe.

Hope burst forth that night in Bethlehem some 2000+ years ago.

Hope shines in our dark world today as we share the gospel and Christ’s love to a lost world.

Hope.  A beautiful thing.

Hope lifts the downcast, revives the wary and inspires the faithful to persevere.  Over the next four weeks I want you to explore with me what the Word HOPE can mean to our marriages.

Hope for our marriage can come from:

Honesty –

Overlooking –

Perseverence –

Excellence

Do you have HOPE, wives?  If you have Jesus, you do!  1 Peter 1:3-5 says,

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

We have been birthed into a living hope through Jesus and his resurrection from the dead.  We walk with an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.

Do you feel the crescendo of excitement?  The feeling that hope embodies?  Ladies, verse 5 promises that those who are in the faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  Yes, things can be tough in this world, in day, in your marriage BUT, hallelujah, you are protected by God’s power.

Jesus is our living hope!  He alone brings hope to our marriage, hope to a hopeless situation, hope to the broken-hearted and hope to the weary. this

Don’t give up.  Rather, stand up in the hope of your faith, knowing that you are shielded by God’s power.  It is God’s mercy that brings hope.  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  God’s hope – Jesus – is what we need.

It will fuel the movement of our marriages to the destination God has for each couple.

Are you willing to allow Hope to move your marriage from where and what it is now?  Join me in the coming weeks to explore this Living Hope we have for our marriages.

Grateful for the HOPE we have in Jesus,

Kim
