We are called to walk with Christ; it’s a walk by faith. It’s a daily choice to walk by faith it’s an invitation to experiencing the impossible. We long to experience the miraculous work of God, we know He is able but it’s dark. Joy is gone, confusion has set in, and we walk in darkness. As we faithfully continue to walk by faith, we wonder if God will defend us or intervene. Where is God? Nothing makes sense or appears as if God is working in my life.
We are needing evidence of His care, His love, or proof of the promise we hold so tightly too. Tears have been our food; our soul can’t be satisfied because it’s broken. We don’t understand what God is doing, we are confused.
It’s comforting to know the disciples and the earlier followers of Christ didn’t always understand. Yet, Christ didn’t stop being patient, explaining the parable again, or comforting their hearts. He came to them, He revealed Himself. An encounter with Jesus changed their lives, so why are their hearts troubled?
As the morning light glistens through the trees they begin their walk. Although their hearts are committed to the task to show honor to Him, they are troubled. Questions had to fill their mind with each step to their destination, “Why is their Savior dead?” What does it mean?” No words could comfort their hearts but love remained committed to Him. With spices to anoint His body for burial, the events are overwhelming-He is dead. Although their hearts were committed to the task, an obstacle was present. A stone blocked the entrance to the tomb!
It doesn’t seem to be an exciting journey, they are going to tomb. A place of death, painful memories of His life, and serious questions about it all. A heavy heart can’t see the impossible until it’s lifted up!
“BUT WHEN THEY LOOKED UP, they saw the stone, which WAS VERY LARGE, had been rolled away.” Mark 16:4
Marriage is a daily choice; a commitment for life. It’s not always easy to walk a road of commitment but it’s what faithfulness does. It doesn’t mean there are no questions, fears, or uncertainties but it’s committed to the end. It’s remaining faithful to the task of honoring your Savior and your husband during the darkest night. It’s not easy to walk towards the tomb, it’s unbearable. It’s unpleasant, uncomfortable, and it’s hard to accept the situation but love conquers all. Love doesn’t give up during the dark moment, it keeps walking to embrace the morning light.
We can’t experience the impossible until we look up, walk into the tomb, and enter with faith. It wasn’t until the women ENTERED the tomb faith was answered. Although they were alarmed, God sent the words they need to hear. “You are looking for Jesus Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen!”
Right now the situation may seem impossible but it’s not! JESUS HAS RISEN! These precious women who were the first to preach about the resurrection of Jesus, WAS GOING AHEAD OF THEM into Galilee. (Mark 16:7) Jesus was working ahead of them, He wasn’t where they expected but He was working in their behalf. Although they were terrified and remained silent for days, HE APPEARED TO THEM! He didn’t stop working in their life because they didn’t understand; He came to them right where they are. Right now Jesus is working in behalf of your marriage and your family, He still moves large stones but we have to remain faithful. Only a faithful heart will experience the miraculous if they don’t give up. So, don’t let the darkness bring fear or overwhelm you because joy comes in the morning.
Building strong marriages together,
