7-31-2014 8-40-20 AM“In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ear.” (Psalm 18:6)

It seems like we all have “been going through it lately.  Many prayer requests and cries for help have reached through the internet to go around the world and back again. You have been heard sweet sisters, but not just by like-minded women connected to you through the computer screen; your cries have been heard by your Daddy.

Just as your earthly dad (or mom) would hear your cries when you fell and skinned your knee or when they came to your aid after a nightmare; your heavenly Father comes to your aid to give comfort and peace when you need it most.

When the turmoil of daily life comes in like a flood, be encouraged in the Lord.  Look to God and His Word for confidence.  When others fail you and forsake you, God will stand on your behalf.  Together, you will overcome any problem you may face.

How….You ask?

Always remember that your Heavenly Father cares for you continually. His provision is with you in every enterprise you undertake.  His royal treasury provides all that you need to do His will on this earth. You are under constant protection as God’s covenant partner. You are a member of the household of God.  He has placed His name upon you and will overthrow any enemy who attempts to destroy you.  This is the King’s decree and His army carries it out with diligence. YOU ARE HIS…a daughter of the Living God!

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1: 12-13)

Let’s take a moment to pray!

Dear Lord,

Please help me to fully call on you when trouble comes my way.  Keep me fixed and steadfast in my faith to you…never losing sight of who I AM IN YOU.  Help me not to waiver between opposing opinions but to always come back to what Your Word says to be true.  I turn my back on the forces of darkness and follow you with all my heart.  I firmly believe in Your power and Your ability. Keep me standing fixed and unwavering in the battle so that when the fight is over, I am the last one standing.  Thank you, Jesus, for these truths and for your sacrifice.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
