I have been there many times!
There are days that I need to be picked up, brushed off, and just loved on.
Being a wife and mother seems to give way to this often.
However…
We can be of good cheer!!!
God has created a means to carry us through each trial.
His Word.
The following is a small look into my secret place with God.
These are some of the scriptures that lift me up and out and encouraged my walk and Faith in Him!
Each verse is packed with just what I need, just when I need it!!
Here we go….
The first two are some of my very favorite verses! God has overcome everything I am going through by way of the cross. I have to remember this continually so I will stop trying to fight on my own!
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” Philippians 4:6
For the times I need comforting and feel no one is there.
“ I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass?” Isaiah 51:12
When I feel unloved………
“See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.” Isaiah 49:16
I was so broken when we found out that our son and his girlfriend were pregnant last year. Both still in high school at the time. This caused me to fall into a very deep black hole. In my darkest moment God stirred my heart to read Psalms. This is the verse my eyes landed on.
“But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.” Psalms 3:3
God kept these scriptures before me continually when I was walking out the year Bill wanted a divorce.. I had given my marriage to God but all seemed like it was over. God encouraged me to be still in the midst of this great trail and remember He is in control.
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! ” Psalms 46:10
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10
As I change God whispers this in my spirit to encourage my continued transformation.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Roman’s 12:2
When satan tries to tell me God will take my salvation because of my mistakes I am reminded my salvation is a gift through His Amazing Grace and can not be taken from me..
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” Ephesians 2:8
What scriptures has God given you to hold on too?
Which ones bring you JOY?
Will you share them with us? We would love to hear them…
Looking Forward, Cherie
