Isaiah 62:6 “On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen all day and all night. They will never keep silent, you who remind the Lord. Take no rest for yourselves.”

Praying wives! God has appointed us “watchmen” over our homes and marriages. We are to be ever-watchful concerning the things coming into our homes. This includes movies and tv shows, books, the latest trends, things that are being said, thought processes, and even people. Be watchmen! Continue to pray and don’t lose heart! Some of you are going through some really tough times right now. Some of you are dealing with husbands with cancer. Others, husbands who are neglectful in many ways. Rest and know you are not forgotten. God’s heart is tender toward you and He sees every tear you have cried.

If you have neglected your marriage by a lack of prayer, can I encourage you? God’s mercies are new every morning. Each day we are given a fresh start. It is not too late to begin your prayer vigil over your husband and marriage.

Isaiah 49:16 says, “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ, know that he will never forget you. Your name is engraved in His hand and your walls are always being put before Him. He is passionate for us and is compassionate towards us.

As I was praying over this, the thought came to me that our walls also represent the promises God has given us. One way is through “rhema” words: words given by God through scripture, His voice, or the Holy Spirit through people. Write these down as they are given to you and commit them to your heart and memory. Begin to “build your walls” (good walls). These wall’s are ever present before God!

Take heart precious wives, God is faithful not to forget the promises He has given us!

Let’s pray and ask God to break down the walls we have built for ourselves and ask God to build the walls He has for us!

Thank you Father for the wall’s that are built by you. We are not forgotten at any stage in our lives no matter what mistakes we have made. We praise your name because your mercies endure forever! May our marriages and our love for our Husbands and children bring you Glory. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
