The Prince of Peace has come.
The peace-stealer, the crafty devil, is working to rob you and your spouse of the peace of Christ.
Yet, in the midst of life’s battles, we have a choice to live in the blessing of peace.
Did you know peace, real peace, is a blessing from our Holy Father?
The writer of Psalm 119 knew this to be true for he proclaims in verse 165,
“Great peace have those who love your law.”
Yes, we find peace in God’s Word.
Think about it — how many times have you opened your Bible, and as you read and studied His Word, God brought you peace, rest and comfort?
We sang a hymn in church this past week, an old favorite of mine, and the words hit me with fresh meaning. The hymn was Great is Thy Faithfulness and the verse that flooded over me with a glimpse of clarity was this:
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth. Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide. Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Great is Thy Faithfulness, great is Thy Faithfulness…
Great is His faithfulness!
As we refocus on Christ, the ever-faithful One, and seek Him, spend time in His Word, we reap the blessing of peace.
Peace from the pardoning of our sin and a peace that lasts the tests of time! Amazing!
Lasting peace.
As The Imperfect Wives continue to redirect our focus to Christ and off ourselves, I am amazed at the blessings that are ours.
Come to the Word and meet with Him for He is greatly faithful. Make Him your first-love and peace will flow to you and your true love (your husband!).
God provided a powerful blessing to the children of Israel in Numbers 6:24-27. Pray it over yourself and your family.
Refocus. Know Peace that endureth.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” (NKJV)
Amen.

Great post Kim. Thank you for the reminder that we have to choose to live in the blessing of God’s peace. You’re so right about the devil – he certainly is always working to rob us of our peace! But we don’t have to let him win!
