You are uniquely created by the Lord.
So is your husband.
It stands to reason, then, that your relationship is unique as well.
That means your romance is uniquely yours and God wants a hand in developing your romance…if you’ll let Him.
Maybe that’s a thought you can agree with, but you’ve never actually put into practice.
And that’s exactly what I want to encourage you to do: allow God to develop your romance with your husband.
Romance is God’s idea and He knows exactly what will touch your beloved’s heart.
Just ask:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
The context of James 1 is patience and perseverance in the face of trials.
We all face trials and difficulties in marriage. That’s not a surprise.
Often those challenges eat away at the warm, tender feelings that are necessary for romantic gestures.
That’s when you have to make the intentional choice to create an environment that is conducive to romance flourishing between the two of you.
God wants to give you the romance of a lifetime!
He wants your husband and you to have a relationship that stands as a testimony to His great love. After all, the marriage relationship is designed to be a real-world object lesson about Christ and the church.
So, it’s important for you to do your part. Ask God for wisdom about your romance and then trust Him to make it more than you can dare to think or imagine!
Praying for each of us,
Rebecca
