We are linking up with Internet Cafe Devotions for Word Filled Wednesday. Yay!! This is our first meme and what a sweet one to start with. I’d like to encourage you to link up with them as well here.
My thoughts have landed on this scripture many times over the last few years. Too many to count actually because of what it means for me. When I fall prey to the enemies temptations or even think about allowing my self too, I now know that I’ve been neglecting my time with God. I’m neglecting time in my secret place and skipping my time because I’m too busy. I’ve learned that telling my self I will do it latter doesn’t usually work. Sometimes it does but not enough to rely on it.
Have you noticed this as well? Are you growing tired and feel the need to act as satan tempts you in your weakness? The fact that we can fall into temptation grows stronger when we are out of Gods Word. Our spirit becomes weak because it needs fuel. The Word of God is our Fuel. With out our time in Gods Word our spirit looses strength and our flesh gains it! Spending time with Him fills us up and brings great strength.
Something to think about!

Yes Cherie, I have noticed this. Sometimes I am amazed that it takes me so long to realize why my life seems to be out of balance. Then it hits me…I have not been speding enough time with God. I was either too busy or just too tired (very poor excuses!). I then make it my business to find time to spend with Him and I always feel better. Through Him I regain the motivation to get my life back on track.
Brooklyn, I am so there with you. It's exciting to know that we are not alone. I'm encouraged by your post. Thank you so much for sharing with us. :o)
Blessings,
Cherie
Cherie,
This is such a good word! The Lord has been speaking this to me, as well…I love how He speaks the same thing to so many of us at the same time. (One of our pastors called that the "community of faith," which I love!) Without time in the word and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, I certainly feel weak. Brooklyn…you hit the nail on the head…BALANCE is definitely key in living a productive Christian life and having a thriving marriage that honors God. Thanks for sharing today!
