Once Upon A Time PhotoOnce upon a time, there was a couple who got married and believed that they would live happily ever after.

Then, reality set in.

They were immature, selfish and quick to assign blame.

In His mercy, God intervened and gave them ears to hear His voice and they were rescued from themselves.

It didn’t happen overnight, but it did happen.

It wasn’t really the stuff Hollywood movies are made of and it wouldn’t make for a page-turning novel, but to this couple what happened was nothing short of miraculous.

It was messy and ugly, with countless tears shed because of sin.

Maybe this describes your marriage.

Or maybe you’re still in the middle of being rescued.

Possibly you’re at the very beginning and don’t even realize yet that you need rescuing.

Wherever you are, this one thing I know to be true:

God is intimately concerned with you and your husband, with where you are in your marriage and He knows what needs to happen in order for it to be fixed.

Today, no matter where you find yourself, meditate on this:

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.  Mt 6:33-34, NIV

God’s instructions are simple. Put Him first in your life and He will take care of everything else that is trying to have that primary position.

I think that’s a great deal, don’t you?

Seeking Him,

Rebecca
